The installation requirements for distribution boards (boxes) are as follows: Distribution boards (boxes) should be made of non-combustible materials; open-type distribution boards can be installed in production areas and offices with low risk of electric shock; enclosed cabinets should be installed in processing workshops, foundries, forging plants, heat treatment plants, boiler rooms, woodworking workshops, and other places with high risk of electric shock or poor working environments; in hazardous work areas with conductive dust or flammable and explosive gases, sealed or explosion-proof electrical facilities must be installed; all electrical components, instruments, switches, and wiring on the distribution board (box) should be neatly arranged, firmly installed, and easy to operate.
The bottom surface of floor-mounted boards (boxes) should be 5-10 mm above the ground; the center height of the operating handle is generally 1.2-1.5 m; there should be no obstructions within 0.8-1.2 m in front of the board (box); protective conductor connections should be reliable; there should be no exposed bare live parts outside the board (box); electrical components that must be installed on the outer surface of the board (box) or on the distribution board must have reliable shielding.
